Thanks - the tank has some kind of "mushy" lining inside that crumbles. The sender looks like it was on the bottom of the ocean... Its like a chewy rust....

cast in the reservoir. I'm going to order the Wilwood .700 MC.

Speedway Motors also has them....its what I used..they carry 5/8" and 3/4" bore. works great.

My brake MC is all but destroyed inside the bore! Took me forever to get the piston out and the bore is all scratched and pitted.

Is there a brake MC from another car I could use? MG,Triumph,...? ...

I thought maybe MKI's had external resistors - the '67 Wagon I have had one on the firewall and the '66 GT has one as well.

Could I just run a Bosch Blue coil I wonder?

So - cleaned up the points, re-installed them and set the gap. I tested the wire that "comes into" the ballast resistor and got 12volts. I bypassed the resistor however and ran it to "- ...
