On my 65 i used a 11 tooth starter from powerlite. It was really pricey but worked great. It was tricky to find a 11 tooth but i contacted powerlite directly and they said they hsd them. I can give you the part number later.

Sure, the part number would be good. I could do a comparison to Burtons and their starter might be a straight fit. The bonus of using Burtons is I would be getting a matching package and I would feel better having a lighter steel flywheel as opposed to the cast unit. When you replace the flywheel there is also the option to go to the larger 8.5 twin cam clutch so I have some thinking to do.
