1959 Anglia 105E Deluxe

My Dad had an Anglia when I was a kid, so when I saw this car about a year ago I had to have it. My plan was to swap in a Cortina 1500 GT engine and trans, 3:90 rear, disc front brakes and GT steel rims. Unfortunately I have way too many projects so it has to go.

It was built in September of 1959, the first year for this shape which makes it very collectible. The car has only 31,000 on the odometer and all its original components down to the 1959 carb, starter and generator. It starts well, runs and sounds strong. On jack stands the trans goes through the gears, stays in all gears and is quiet. Same for the 4:125 rear. The 997 cc Kent engine was used in Formula Junior racing and is quite powerful for its size.

I specifically wanted a car like this kept in the American Southwest its whole life so it would never see a rock of road salt. I can find no rust and see no bubbles in the body panels at all. The glass is very nice and I made polycarbonate quarter windows for it as there were none. The body is in primer with the engine bay and trunk area already painted in the original Smoke Grey.

The brake hydraulics need to be ordered and replaced before it is drivable. What you see is what you get in relation to chrome and interior, there are no other parts as this how it came to me. These cars are well supported for almost everything by Small Ford Spares in England and we luckily have a supplier here in the Bay Area.

This little car is a must have for any Harry Potter fan, all you need is an "Invisibility Booster".

$2250 as is. I am open to offers as I am out of room. No title, bill of sale only.

This car is owned by a well known multi, and I mean multi, Cortina custodian.
