Fair price for a mk2 ( Mays head !! ) including sought after parts that will recover some purchase expense. These models are very rare in the States most i've come across thru the years are in B.C. In a way, glad it's too far away from me.

They are pretty rare around here these days. Probably a few rusted junkers out in the Blackberrys, however decent ones are few and far between even here in B.C.

Interesting about the MK3 bodywork seeing as I have probably the only MK3 Zodiac in the country. I actually think this seller is the guy I bought my car from. He also was named Howie.

Howie is correct, I just talked with Bill Grant about that ad and he confirmed it.

Yes it is a small word, when I saw the ad I emailed Bill just to see if he knew the fellow. Of course it turns out to be an acquaintance of Bills and a lot of these nice parts came from Bill in the first place.
I am not so much a Zephyr kind of guy myself but it's tempting, wouldn't it be nice to build up a "Hot Six" Zephyr with a 4 speed behind it??

I still miss my triple Weber, Mays headed MK1. What a beastie. Still, at least I had it for 7 years. Plus the guy who bought it is going to have a full nut and bolt resto by Kevin at Zodiac Motor Services in England. So it went to the right guy.

Not 100% sure this is the same equipment but there are some nice looking bits in the photos here.

The story behind that car was that I saw it in the mag CCC in 1972 as a lad and fell in love with it. That I was able to buy it in 2007 shows that dreams can come true.

Great story, that's like finally getting that girl we all fell in love with when we were in grade 7 Laughing
I remember an old Zephyr running around in my neighbourhood back in the early 80s, I don't know what was done to it but it was obviously modified and it sounded awesome.

I can remember there being quite a few Consul's and Zodiac's around Vancouver in the 70's . By the 80's they had become quite a bit more rare. Same story with all the larger sedan British cars. By the time they were 20 years old or so rust had pretty much done them in. There was no point to repairing a car that had almost no value. I doubt even the best Zephyr in Vancouver would have been worth $1000.00 in the early 1980's. Same for Westminster's ,Super Snipe's, Cresta's etc. Even nice MGA's were only $2500.00 or so. I bought a few for even less than that.
