PERFORMANCE FORDS
by Graham Robson
Haynes Publishing, 2004
ISBN 1 84425 027 X

With one or two books and seemingly countless magazine articles published each year, Graham Robson must be the hardest working automotive author in England. With Performance Fords, Robson has produced a gem that almost any '60s to current Euro-Ford nut would want to own. This hardbound 160-color page book is sort of a catalog of all of the European Fords that Robson considers to be performance models, beginning with the Mk I Cortina GT and ending with the 2003 StreetKa. With the exception of the German RS Capris and the Merkur XR4Ti, Robson has limited the list to cars sold in Britain. Each model gets between one and three pages, usually several color photos as well as a specifications table.

In addition to all of the cars, Robson follows up with two illustrated appendices. The first appendix documents the various European factories that performance Fords were built in. The second appendix describes 40 years of performance Ford power from the Kent GT to the Duratec.

The books sells for $30 in the USA. The book can be ordered from the publisher directly at sales@haynes.co.uk or 44-1963-442030.
