As a 100e fan I am always looking, this car came up again for sale and I almost did it but when I called I found that he sold it (anyone here?) for $3800 This was a bargain for the buyer, it came with lots of new spares and the Aquaplane engine mods not to mention the spare overdrive gearbox, recent paint and interior work plus lots more. Oh well I will just spend the money on my projects at hand.

I am a little sorry too but that saying about snoozing and loosing is appropriate here. This car was for sale last summer for $4900 and I thought it was a good deal then but I took no action. The reality is I don't really need another toy car as nice as it is. _________________ Anglia 100e modified

This may be true but I think I past that stage. Here is a picture of the inside of my garage and there are two more parked on the outside.

What a sweetheart of an early 100E Anglia. Where was it located? _________________ European Ford Collector |

That car was for sale in Abbotsford just 1/2 hour drive from Lynden, He currently has this 105e for sale too. He just dropped the price to 6500 from 7500.
Oddly the 100e seemed like a much better deal with all the extras and Aquaplane equipment?

I think that you'd need to wear your sunglasses
when you drove it.That's a LOT of White!
I agree - the 100E sounds like a really interesting
car.I wonder how it drives?

That's a good question Doug, my wife actually called the seller re the 100e and he did say that it wasn't running properly and it had some tail light problems. Tail/brake lights would be a very easy fix and I am going to guess that the running problems may have been due to the twin SU carb setup??? In the end all this stuff would have been easy to sort but I snoozed on that one. _________________ Anglia 100e modified

Regarding the 1966 105E, that grille is interesting. I'n thinking it might be a unique Canadian spec with 997 engine. Not 100% sure though. _________________ European Ford Collector |

That's also a good question?? I remember when I was playing with a lot of Anglia's in the 70s there was a number of the small grill cars around, for some reason I thought it was the deluxe and super models that had the wide grill but the memory plays games??? _________________ Anglia 100e modified

It maybe a 1200 engine as the carb has an accelerator pump in view.
My brother's '66 Anglia Super also has a small grille. I suspect the factory had a surplus of standard grilles near the end of the Anglia's run which were used on export models. |

You may be right about that as the Anglia's time was running out, just use up the bits. I used to have a 1200 super and it was loaded with all the chrome, carpet, padded dash and the bigger brakes, I turned it into a race car and eventually destroyed it on the track. I liked that car. _________________ Anglia 100e modified
