Group,
I'd like to lower my '68 Cortina GT about an 1 1/2" to improve handling. I'm assuming the only way to do it is by cutting a coil from the front springs and adding lowering blocks at the rear. An other successful options?
Thanks,
mortarch

Mortarch,

By taking off half a coil from a GT spring and reflanging will drop the F/sus by about an inch and will cause a 1-2 degree more towards neg. camber.

A one inch spacer block is about the right lowering height for a road car.
Installing a two inch spacer is not recommended if carrying passengers. You may bottom the car on a driveway or the rear end housing to the body.

Installing Capri top strut mounts should drop the front suspension by about an inch. They should bolt right in provided your not running the roller bearing type strut mount.
