Hi there,
I am trying to find out what happened to the European Ford Club. I have an e-mail address for Michael MacSems (which I'm sending this to), as well as a couple I found in a 2009 newsletter. Is the club no longer in existence?
I just came back from visiting the Import and Kit Car show at Carlisle, and think this would be a great venue for European Fords. Previously, I used to go to Ford Carlisle with my Capri, but we tended to be lost on some far away corner of the field. Later on, we managed to get placed near the Merkur Club, which gave us a lot of support. I still feel that it would be better for us to be amongst other Imported cars though, I have suggested this numerous times on the Yahoo Capri mailing list, but nobody seems interested in moving venues. Since they no longer hold an event at Ford Carlisle, now might be the time to get the Euro Fords into the Import and Kit Car show. We could also pick up any stray Merkur owners who can't make the Ford show.

Hi Lee,
I remember you and your UK spec Capri. How are you?
EFONA is more or less comatose as there has been no newsletter in several years. There is still an European Ford Owners North America Facebook page, and a lot of members migrated here EnFoStuff.com.
It is ironic that you mention the Carlisle Import Nationals as that was the main annual meeting of the club back when it was called NAEFR back in the 1990s and early 2000s. Our presence at that event seemed to fizzle independent of EFONA's overall fizzle. I think your idea is a good one and I would endorse your efforts. It would make a lot of sense to use both the EFONA FB page and EnFoStuff to get the word out if you decide to go for it next year.
You will also see that this forum has a special EFONA members section, though nothing has been posted there for some time.
Thanks for checking in and I hope that all is well.
