Add says its a rust free body. The before pictures you put up earlier today show not an entirely rust free body.

Didn't include the vin. I suspect it started as a deluxe 1500 originally sold by S&C Ford.

Ill try to stay out of this sale but my pics do show the car as it was. I did cut out as much rust as i could and in welded fresh steel. However. Car flippers are kinda starting to piss me off. Im not sure if the current seller is the guy who bought it from me. Really wish i still had that engine.

And yes it was indeed a deluxe. It is actually titled as a 67.

I wouldn't worry too much about the asking price anthonid, that is what he is asking for - doesn't mean he will get it.

On the other hand, he may believe the car is worth the asking, the market will decide - though this is too much of a 'mongrel' for most I suspect - at this price.

Some want their cars to be restored to as original as possible and this clearly not the case here, some don't care as much about looks as long as they look the part and perform better than the original (me).

Contact the seller and offer him slightly below what you sold the car for and see what he says!

im not too worried about it. although if he gets that for it i will officially be out of the mk1 game forever. i like those cars alot but i cant own anything that expensive. i drive them pretty hard and like you i enjoy modifying them to perform better than stock. plus im happy with my current mk2. i wish the seller well but i honestly dont want these cars to turn into porsches. i couldnt believe what i sold it for, but he is asking almost twice what he paid. he did install a headliner and dye the seats black but thats not worth 15 grand alone.

That wasn't Tom Bungay that bought it from you,
was it?He used to work for Dave Bean, when they were
in Santa Barbara.

It was. Im not sure if he is the one selling it. Im surprised he got rid of it. He seemed to love it and it let him keep the lotus in the garage and still drive a mk1.
