Ford Mk 1 Consul Cortina. Pre air flow model. Ambassador blue. Suspension and brake upgrades. Mercury Capri ( same as Miata B series 1.6 liter ) converted to twin carbs and NODIZ programmable ignition. 5 speed.

Car was repainted 10 years ago, still looks great.. never any rust. Brakes and steering are very good.

Nice exterior but the interior need some work.

What a great sleeper. Love the front bumperettes. At first I thought the price was a bit off, but presumably it is in Canadian $, so not too bad.

Read it again, it is basically a Mazda motor. And Airflow is not to be confused by crossflow.

Ahhhhhh that's what threw me off. The mercury capri of the 90's.

I think it was an Aussie design. Supposed to replace the Mustang, but that was never gonna happen.

The 1991 to 1994 Capri was never supposed to replace the Mustang. The 1989 Probe was supposed to replace the Mustang. That is until the Mustang Clubs found out about it and raised a stink with Ford.

This looks like it could be an ENFO members car. RS.Escort (Mark) was putting a Miata engine into a MK1 that looks similar to this car but in his signature it says Miata powered MK1 Estate. Not sure if the same car but the engine bay looks identical.

That is one of Mark's - and he made it to the 'bigs' - BaT, where it will be dissected, analysed and generally nitpicked as happens on BaT.

Must go, I have to rush over to BaT to nitpick! Very Happy
