I've got a 1969 Ford Cortina 1600GT and just recently 1st gear on my transmission blew. It clunks really badly in 1st. All the other gears work fine and I can take off In 2nd but that's just harsh on my clutch. The trans is the 3-rail type, NOT the single gear selector rail.
So I'm looking for a Ford 2000e gearbox either for parts or as a complete transmission. If anyone who has this type of transmission laying around or knows someone who may be able to help me out, please give me a shout.
I'm only 16 years of age, so any info or even alternative transmission recommendations would really help.
Current Gear Ratios:
1st - 2.97:1
2nd - 2.01:1
3rd - 1.39:1
4th - 1:1
Reverse - 3.32:1
