The idea here is to display photos from past years. A lot of fun as been had, and a lot of interesting Fords have been shown here since the first meet in 2000.
The Pacific Northwest Import Ford Meet is held on the first Saturday in June at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro, Oregon, in conjunction with the Fords Forever All-Ford car show and swap meet.

These photos were taken by E-Ford Lines editor Judy Berrian at the 2007 Pacific Northwest Import Ford Meet in Hillsboro, OR on June 2nd.
The front row line up. The black car on the right is an Australian XB Falcon Coupe with the Mad Max treatment.
Glenn Wallace’s beautiful 1979 Escort RS 2000. The car was imported from Norway a few years ago. Glenn also owns an Australian Mk I Escort Twin Cam.
Two beautiful Mk I Capris: Left is Tony Lecband’s 1971 1600 and on the right is Jeff Enge’s 1973 2600.
Another view of Tony’s 1600
Mark Viskov’s Mk I Cortina race car.
Cliff Jones’ 1969 Cortina station wagon. Cliff won longest distance, driving down from Surrey, BC. The wagon has been restored to GT specs.

This 1989 Scorpio is a direct decendent of this 1960 Zodiac. Both were top of the range models with six-cylinder engines. The Zodiac begat the Granada which begat the Scorpio. The lineage came to an end in 1998.

Rocky’s XR4Ti and Steve’s Capri (V8 )
Some of the Import Ford line-up
Steve Corey’s Mk I Cortina GT 4-dr and Tom Parenteau’s Fiesta
Pete Snyders heads home to California in his 124E Anglia. This was the first 105E style Anglia ever to grace this event.
Doug Dumond’s Capri 2000
Ric Cavallero's Escort, Pete Snyders' Anglia, Mark Viskov's Capri 1600 and Jim McVein's unrestored Cortina Lotus.
Ray Morris’ Fiesta
Tony Viskov’s Scorpio. Tony has installed European style headlights and grille.
Jim McVein, Mark Viskov and Michael MacSems. The prizes really are modest. Jim must have a wall full of these by now.
The Favorite of Show award goes to Ric Cavallero for his Mk I Escort RS 2000. The book is Graham Robinson’s Ford in Touring Car Racing.
The 2008 Poster
PNWIFM 2008 The Report
I was really pleased with the turn out for this year’s meet. While total attendance peaked at about 35 cars a few years ago, the quality and variety of the 16 cars on display this year was great.
The cars and owners attending this year were as follows:
Mk II Zodiac – Michael M.
124E Anglia – Pete S. (this was the first time in nine years that we have had a 105/123E Anglia in site).
Mk I Cortina GT 2-dr – Steve M.
Mk I Cortina GT 4-dr – Steve K.
Mk I Cortina Lotus – Jim M. (* won Favorite Cortina)
Mk II Cortina race car – Kehl P (* won Favorite 1960-70).
Mk I Capri 1600 – Mark V (* won Favorite Capri)
Mk I Capri 2000 – Doug D.
Mk I Capri V8 – Steve L.
Mk I Escort RS 2000 – Ric C. (* won Favorite 1971-80) (*won Favorite of Show)
Fiesta – Tom P.
Fiesta – Ray M.
’87 XR4Ti – Rocky L.
’89 XR4Ti – Patty V. (* won Favorite XR4Ti)
Scorpio – Tony V. (* won Favorite 1981-94)
Aussie Capri XR2 -- Pete
Pete Snyders won the prize for Longest Distance. He drove up from San Mateo, CA in the Anglia – about 9 hours each way. There were also Import prizes awarded by the All-Ford Show balloting – I couldn’t keep track of it all, but Steve and Rocky each won a little plaque which are in my possession until we next cross paths.
Thanks to prize donors – Rapido, Capri Club North America and European Ford Owners North America.
Other comments about the show – Not seen this was the large group of XR4Tis from the Pacific Northwest Merkur Owners Network that used to attend up until last year. Also this was the first year that we didn’t have at least one Australian Falcons since they first started coming in 2001. Part of the reason may have been the threat of rain (which remained only that).
Attendance for the larger All-Ford Meet, though under new management, was also pretty low compared to past years. However there was a huge turnout of late model Mustangs and the NW Galaxie Meet (over on the far side of the field) was well attended too.
Had a nice drive home (via Longview) in a two-car convoy with Ray Morris in his sweet Fiesta.
Michael

P.S. Are you going to try to go to the All British Car Show @ BCC

I know I'll be there and I'm trying to remind Steve he needs to be

English Fords at Hillsboro 1999 -- Year Zero
The roots of the PNWIFM go back to 1999 when three EFONA members brought their English Fords to what had normally been a All-American Ford show. Those owners were Steve Martin (Cortina), Steve Brody (Anglia Van) and Michael MacSems (Zephyr).
