Re: Cortinas in SW Virginia

Wow, it's an MG grave yard. I see a rare MGC GT there, that's worth saving.

Re: CL - 59 English ford prefect - $4,000 (OR)

That is a great price, it was $6500 a month ago. The car is a little interesting as well with it's dual fuel tanks, spares and engine mods.

Re: 100E/300E Radiator Top Hose

Thanks JAN, that answers that question. I have a feeling that I may have discarded those old style hoses some time ago?

Re: 100E/300E Radiator Top Hose

There is one thing I want to try if I can find my old style hoses again, I want to cut the hose to see if the old one can then work with the cast housing?

Re: 100E/300E Radiator Top Hose

I think that is the very early type, I ended up with a few of those in my pars collection but my 100es have all used the later more conventional type with a cast thermostat housing. Here is a bit out of my old parts book.

If you still have some spares I could use a front grill and a bumper, live in Lancaster, Ca
I think that advert is quite stale by now, if you are looking fore something particular it's best to put a want ad in the wanted section.

Re: Weber DCD

Strange, two different carbs and the same problem. Are you using the 1/4 inch thick heat isolator under your carb? How is your fuel pressure, is it regulated to 3 to 4 Psi? If you do have it regulated I hope it is not a Mr. Gasket regulator as I have been reading that they are crap. Where do you act...

Re: Weber DCD

The 32/36 might be an easy fix, have you checked to see if the fuel shut off valve is seating 100% and the float level is correct as well as the float itself not being fuel saturated? The valve might be leaking a bit, allowing residual fuel pressure bleed into the carb after shutdown?  I see Amazon ...

Re: Weber DCD

There was one on Kijiji Ontario a while back but I can't find it now, didn't you just recently buy a set of DCOEs from a fellow on this Forum?

It's interesting to see that this 100e has been fitted with an additional fuel tank.

Re: 1966 Cortina GT Canada

Yes it is a nice looking car, I actually hesitated putting this advert up thinking that maybe I should buy it???? I have the missing badging and a nice new set of Lotus quarter bumpers that would go well on this car. Reality, common sense and my Wife won out though so here the ad is.
