Re: Cortina MK2 starter

Thanks Brett, I have a starter very similar to the high torque one you show there but can’t get it to fit on any of the adjustments available with the plate. I’ve got a guy looking at my original Lucas to see if it can be rebuilt, as I mentioned, I’m scared to get one online incase it doesn’t fit. I...

Cortina MK2 starter

Thinking of replacing the starter on my 1970 GT. Does anyone have any experience with the high torque models? Best place to get them and whether they are worth the extra cost. Tried a few for fit that were ‘supposed’ to be correct but no luck. Thanks

Anyone know if this is still for sale? I know of a guy in Calgary that may be interested. Postings on Craiglist and Kijiji appear to have gone.

MK1 Cortina fuse box.

Toying with the idea of adding a fuse box to my 66 GT. I'm sure it has been bought up previously, does anyone have a simplified electrical drawing that I could follow of what is recommended to be fused. Original wiring in car so I should be able to follow colour coding. Many thanks.

Re: CL-1965 Cortina Race Project - $6,000 (BC)

Took a quick measure and it's looking about 5mm from the front struts, pretty snug but never had an issue. On the rear I'm pretty similar with my deep dish 'Lotus" wheels, interestingly enough slightly different gaps on each side but I'm told this is pretty standard. Minilites give me more of a...
