Got my electric fan installed today, 7" strapped to front of the rad..
Have it set up to blow through the rad into the engine bay.
Temperature Gauge inside the car reads in Celsius, Had 90 Deg Thermostat in, removed for testing purposes to see if it was bad, not sure if it was opening properly, so I removed it. The temp kept rising up to about 95-100 with the fan running full blast, all while at idle, seemed to be a little better with thermostat removed.
My oil pressure gauge was being kind of funny so I hooked up a mechanical one, was getting just under 20 psi at idle.
Loud whine coming from the front of the motor, would lead me to believe something may be faulty with the water pump? After turning the motor off it pissed quite a bit of coolant down to the floor.
Any thoughts?

Is this a known good engine? 20psi @ idle, hot, is ok, What is it at 2500-3000 when hot..should be around 40-50psi. What weight oil are you using?
Sounds as if there is air in the cooling system. Best not to run with the t/stat
out, as then the coolant goes through the rad too fast and won't cool.
Try jacking up the front of the car when filling the coolant to let get the air out.
How is your fan switched on? Is there a thermostic switch?
I have one in my Morgan, the switch turns the fan on at 180f and off at 165f...fan runs almost constantly.
I now have a 190f on and 175f off. Fan now cycles on and off.

Was running a lot cooler after he came over.
Found an old belt driven fan and put it on the motor as well.
Seems to stick around 90 deg now at idle and the fan kicks in when it gets hotter.
The squeak I heard was the needle bearing in the back of the alternator. Disassembled that, greased it up and it runs like new again.
