Reverse Doesn't engage

Post by dfonseka_ »

Only recently and suddenly, reverse gear on my gear box started acting strange. You can easily put it into reverse without any crunching or effort but it'll act as though it's in neutral. I'll have to keep trying to put it in reverse slowly and then it'll engage like normal. Its quite irritating but I'm not really sure what could be wrong. The rest of the gears work fine. I do plan on removing the gearbox tomorrow.

It's the 3-rail 2000e gearbox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Daniel

Turns out it was just a screw that was loose. Not the particular one as mine is the GT box and has the shifter at the very back but one of the screws to select the reverse rail was loose. Everything works fine now
