Finally making progress on the Prefect

Post by enfoprefect »

I moved my shop in the last few months to a place where I hope to be inspired to get moving again. I tried to get the Prefect ready to drive to the new location. Several serial problems prevented that so had to tow it anyway. Since then, I have built a temporary driver's seat and actually drove it around the block. See photo of seat. The proper seat is fully upholstered and I won't put it it the car until after painting and reinstalling window glass. I can't say the seat is very comfortable but at least it allows me to move the car around the shop under its own power.

Thanks Michael. There's actually more progress than that. I have the seats about 90% finished, a complete new wiring harness installed and all new glass ready to install but waiting until after paint. Everything except the outer skin is finished from the firewall forward. I will get it up on jack stands this week to finish the underside from there back.
