Ok I see some problems with new and old. I like to get a bit of mileage out of my cars but living in the north east area of the U.S. we have something called winter and as such they tend to pour cheap salt on the roads to try and keep folks from running into each other. Our auto industry seams to kn...

Ford Times
Ny Grandfather worked at Ford Motor Company for quite a few years in Dearborn. I'm thinking 1925 to 1929 and again from 1931 to 1964. They had a cottage and while there were a few Ford Times at the Detroit home, the cottage had most of the early stuff. I was looking at them in 1961 and they were qui...

I found a couple photos today while looking for something else. They are of the 67 Gortina GT I had bought in New York. One photo is in the back of my pickup, Tight fit but it made it. The other is just unloaded and I don't see any trim on the arch. I had to get the magnifing glass out to make sure....

I have always liked the Escort Estate and thought it would be kool to put the 107e crossmember in so that it would except the later 1500 pre-crossflow as a bolt in. That along with a decent 4 speed out of a Cortina GT. But these wagons are so rare now I think that I would leave the flathead four and...

Hi Michael Intreresting that the advertizing show it both ways, I saved almost every thing off off the June 67 mk2 GT and I didn't have the arch trim when I sold last of the parts left a couple years ago. Its a bit easier to remember what was sold than what was removed. I don't know if I need a mk2 ...

Mk2 Cortina wheel arch and sill trim question
I have a question on mk2 Cortina trim and wondered if any of you can help. I have seen the brite trim around the wheel archs with an inter-connecting trim along the sills. Was this standard on all mk2's, I have noticed the mk2 Cortina-lotus do not have this trim and being from the land of rotted For...

Welcome Chris. Do you have any pics of your car that you can share with us? What is the current state of your car? I remember seeing a pic of a Cortina in Medicine Hat on a site somewhere...it was one taken from the left hand front side pulled into a driveway. Could that have been yours by chance? ...
