they are similar in shape to the flathead v8...which the head was taller than a stock bolt. I ran a chevy disc in a flathead v8 which barely hit the bolt head, so I replaced them with ARP flywheel bolts ...which had shorter head height. Someone on the site must have another bolt for you, but if not,...

Topic: Widest tire on Thames 300E rim?

hey BigFred....I have 175's on my 300E. I dont know if I have the 5.2 or 5.6 rims as they came off of other models. The tire just does clear the strut, and the rim is literally "riding on the sidewall"....from so much sidewall bulge. There is no issue with fender clearance. With that said,...

Langlia...your right...T5s are more plentiful. and they are bigger too. But if the T9 is easier to bolt in, then that might would be a better choice. I got my T9 from Merkur Parts Midwest. They show a couple on their website. Mine is behind a 2.3 liter so I am not sure about mating it to a Kent if t...

Langlia....lol...that is with OD !! yes I have been considering the new gears from the UK, have not looked at Turbosport but will. I have been wondering would it be the right ratio for the 2.3 and would i be happy with it. Gears, bearing, shipping, and set up can get $$$. I need to have some certain...

if you want to keep the original look by keeping the regulator in place, here is what I did on a different vehicle...I gutted out an old regulator and used the blade terminal connectors on it as a junction block....I ran the BAT wire from the alternator to the BAT terminal on the regulator, then fro...

thanks Brett, You are right, its great around town. I am 2 miles off of the interstate but never use it...the speeds are 70-80 and it is just safer to use the back roads although it takes a lot longer to go anywhere. Being somewhat rural, it is about 10-20 miles to anywhere by the interstate. I don'...

I don't intend to hijack this topic, but I wonder too.... How would the 3.54 do with the 2.3 Pinto engine. The engine is begging for another gear at 50 mph with the 4.1 and I can start off in 2nd gear easily. I too ran the calculations with the online tools, and I see only a few mph difference with ...

Kiwi...when you say the two top holes dont match the block...is it the XR4TI bellhousing? They mounted high up on the Pinto 2.3 block...see the two bolts at the top...I had to remove these two bolts and the Xr4Ti bellhousing used these holes. The 2 holes about an inch lower is where the Pinto bell b...

Wonder if anyone has ever used the 105E bar in conjunction with the 100E bar? I have a spare 105E bar. If it is not lined up vertically, do you think it will try to rotate the clamps?

Brett, is that you next to the 105e? looks like you tried to lower the roof? I bought the 4". I also put a shortened 105E interior mirror inside the car (to fit between the sun visors)...not sure if it ever had one. I cannot even tell if a full size pick up is behind me with it...the way the re...
