I just found out my friend had a fire at his business and it appears my Cortina is a loss. I have a shed full of spares in central texas and dont know what to do.

Sitting here in Texas with single digit temps and blackouts. We have neighbors that have been without power for over 24 hours. Good thing we haven't been forced into electric cars yet.

If it is not too much to ask, how much do you think you will spend on the conversion. I have thought about doing this to my Mk1, but my quick math put the cost twice as high as dropping in a V8. If I did this for a commuter I would need a minimum 60 mile range. Thanks in advance.

Did it start life as a 4 door - the space between the rear of the door and wheel is too long. Door also looks short for a two door car. Edit: Drivers window is square like a 4dr car - is not the 2dr glass more rectangular?
