I used Volvo 240 strut tops and drilled and slotted the holes to give some negative camber.. Worked just fine..

No I sold the Escort a few years ago to a fellow in the US.. Peter s something.. Long gone.. I am selling my Super 7 next after the Cortina, then my GTO.. My plan is to buy an Elise.. They are 60k and up here in Canada, but you only live once. I still have the Mk1 Estate.. coming along nicely too.. ...

Lol isn't it always the way.. I got an acceptable offer on the car from someone in the States.. I took the ad off for now for that reason and to get the driveshaft balanced.. The offer is good but I hate dealing with international payments and then shipping.. If you are interested in the car why don...

Yes it is.. I only just got it on the road though, and I have some things to sort out.. I had a custom drive shaft made for it and it has a vibration, so I have to take it out and have them look at it.. Otherwise it runs well, but there is certainly more power to be had going beyond the base map on ...

Cool.. Motor is in and the hoses and exhaust are sorted.. It's a bit of a snake going from the rear of the motor to the rad but turned out looking just fine.. One benefit of this engine is that it's short, so I have lots of room for a rad and fan.. http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/143_engine_i...

So on it goes.. This is the oil pan mod.. Using the pan from the FWD Mercury Capri.. http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/143_oilpan_1.jpg I had to cut off the back of the pan.. I also had to cut about a 1/4 inch off the trans bellhousing as well to get the motor far forward enough to clear my coi...

Hi Brent.. I got the manifold from Endo at gxrbt1_ju3256sdza@members.ebay.com He normally deals with Datsun stuff but he was the only vendor I found who dealt with Harada Shokai who make the manifold in Japan. I was unable to find a purchase outlet for them otherwise.. They refer to the Miata 1.6 as...

Yes the B engines are quite ugly with the injection for sure.. The front mounted thermostat housing is ugly too so I moved that to the rear of the head..

It will cause some head scratching when people see it in there!

Miata into Cortina

Well onto bigger and better things.. The Pinto in my Mk1 pulls well, but it's getting tired.. Thought about a few options but a neat one presented it's self when my wife's Miata finally rusted away.. I didn't want to run the injection because it's a vacume line nightmare! Took some time and digging ...

Yea I thought about that that too, but Capri stuff is even harder to find than Pinto or Mustang ll.. I'll need to figure something out also because the Miata motor I'm using for my MK1 is rear sump as well

Hey Doug.. I just got back on the wagon and ran into an issue.. I flipped the car upside down to clean up some floor welds, and checked my datum.. Absolutely spot on top and bottom.. Quite happy about that.. Don't ever want to clip a car front end again, that's for sure.. The problem I have is that ...

OMG! I was just talking to Doug last night and looking here I hadn't realized it's been 6 years since I started this estate repair.. Car is all one piece and all the metal work is done now so I will try to post some pictures.. We unfortunately had a few projects come up that took priority from the C...

Wow long time no talk to.. The Honda looks good in there! The pinto rear is not bad but too wide as is.. you can build a cage and go independant which would be awesome, but major surgery.. My choice would be just bite the bullet and get a proper ltd slip and axels for the Cortina diff, and do a 4 li...
