It is not a Lotus Cortina. It is a Cortina with a twin cam in it. It is not advertised as a Lotus Cortina, ony as a Cortina with a twin cam. Just setting the expectations.

That's a good deal if the block isn't cracked and over-bored too much. It even has steel main caps. Too far for me, but if I was closer, I'd buy it.

Maybe you could consider one of the EcoBoost engines from a big variety of Ford products. They seem to be plentiful and relatively inexpensive. Keeps it all Ford then, too. They make gobs of power and loads of torque.
