Re: Mk2 Cortina Lower Control Arm ball joint rebuild
Thanks Pete. I do have a pair of the new cast ones from OZ. I'm going to be shortening them for my Anglia 105E so I thought I'd practice on some pressed steel arms first. All my pressed steel ones have bad ball joints. If they were cheaply repairable, I'd experiment on the pressed steel ones. -Carl

Mk2 Cortina Lower Control Arm ball joint rebuild
Hi all-
Are rebuild kits available for the ball joints on Mk2 Cortina lower control arms? Specifically the pressed and welded steel style? Just wondering if the ones I have can be saved or should go into the bin.
thanks!
Carl

Mk1 GT 4 door in SF Bay Area
Saw this show up on Craigslist last night. If it were a two door, I'd be at his doorstep this morning!

NOS Rubber weatherstrip ID please
Hi all- I have a new old stock English Ford rubber strip piece that I'd like help ID'ing. I can't seem to find it in my Anglia 105E or Cortina Mk1 or Mk2 books. It looks like a door weatherstrip. The part number is E-259-AD1 or E259 AD 1. http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/249_IMG_3095_1.jpg htt...

Thermostat housing ID question
http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/249_IMG_9590_1.jpg http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/249_IMG_9589_1.jpg Can you help me ID this thermostat housing? It came with a group of Ford Kent/Lotus Twin Cam parts. On the side is cast "bleed off valve". I think I've seen these on the '78...

3 Point (shoulder) seat belts in an Anglia 105E?
My original plastic front lap belt handles are disintegrating. It might be a good time to upgrade to shoulder belts. Has anyone done this, and what method did you use to attach to the B-pillar?
thanks,
Carl K.

transmission back in!
http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/249_speedograph_installed_2.jpg Brett- I found a NOS seal on eBay. The Payen part number is NA167. It went right in from the outside. Switched transmissions and also had a chance to install a Speedograph remote shifter. Goodbye "magic wand"! Carl

Anglia 123E (Type 3) transmission output seal
http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpix/249_tailshaft01_1.jpg I'm looking for a current brand/part number for for the transmission tailshaft oil seal. This is a 123E gearbox (1200cc Anglia), I think they are generally referred to as Type 3. This is a box I got from an EnfoStuff member, and I want to...

Hi Pete- Thanks for the photo. Thought I'd offer some followup. I took the radiator to my favorite shop in Santa Cruz (they do all my gas tank work since they can still use the nasty chemicals). They said it flowed good but had four leaks- two large and two small. I had them recore it with another t...

Anglia 105E better cooling fan?
Hi all- My 1200cc Anglia still has the single blade "propeller" fan. It runs warm when I'm in stop-and-go traffic in the summer. I know there was an optional second blade you could add on top of the first, but have never seen one for sale. I have also discovered that the 8 blade plastic fa...
