Doing some bench racing with my son anyone know how much my 59 Escort weights?

does any one have pics of an original engine compartment of a 100E I want to freshen up mine but don't really have anything to go by.

How do I get the shifter out of the trans? its a 57 squire

got it all back together but the head gasket isn't sealing any more only have 30 psi. so i will need to order a gasket.

one more thing what is the points gap 18-22 ?

I had 100 on # 1 ,60 on 2and 3 and 90 on 4. the engine would not run it would act like it wanted to but wouldnt . a little oil would bring 1 to 125 , 2&3 to 90 and 4 to 100 but still no run. Got another question . Where is the vin number for this car . there is a model number and engine number but I don't see a vin.

Any one know what the compression is suppose to be and is this motor babit or bearings. going to try some marvel mistery oil before I buy rings. and one more thing does any one have a wire diagram for this car.

acording to my model number tag its a 101 E you know where I can get a set of rings for the motor only got 50 psi on three and 60 on the fourth.
