Colin Neale

I had the pleasure of meeting Colin Neale through his Capri, of which he was inordinately proud. Still full of boyish enthusiasm for planes, cars and all things design, it turned out we had common interests beyond Fords and so the time passed very quickly; I was looking forward to further chats with...

Mark 1 Cortina GT exhausts

Waldron Exhausts has recently made systems for my GTs (from the manifold back), using an original system as a pattern, and the fit was very good. They've kept the pattern and can make copies in either stainless or aluminized steel. They ship all over the world. For details, contact: Waldron Exhaust,...

Well, in the absence of any better offerings, here are a few of mine. I think the final tally was three real Mk1 Lotus-Cortinas, two Mk 1 GTs with twin-cam engines, two twin-cam Escorts, two Mk 1 GTs, one Mk 1 estate, one Anglia, two Mk 1 Capris, one Mk 2 Capri and two Mk 1 Fiestas. #41 is the ex-Al...

Joel Hershoren and his team at Waterford Hills deserve to be congratulated on a fantastic vintage racing weekend. Thanks also to those Cortina die-hards who travelled from the West Coast or Florida and who provided hours of fascinating conversation, and to those who brought their cars long-distance ...

Mad Dogs 2013

We ended up with six English Fords for this year's Rare Gem category: three Capris, a 105E Anglia, a Consul and a Mark 1 Cortina. Not a bad turnout, so thanks to those who brought their cars. I know I had a blast driving across Michigan on virtually empty roads. http://www.enfostuff.com/forum/userpi...

Strut top mount bolt patterns

Apologies for taking so long, but I needed to measure a larger sample before responding. This question arose because new strut mounts from the UK don't fit my Cortina. They have studs which match the dimensions Pete gives (4-1/2", 3-5/8"), which work out to a 4-5/8" pitch circle. I've...

Strut top mount bolt patterns

Anyone know what the bolt pitch circle diameter is for Anglia 105E strut top mounts? Should it be the same as Mark 1 Cortina?

Thanks.

Glad to finally be on the forum; I've been checking it out for a while. Per the Mark 1 Cortina Owner's Club in the UK, Dagenham has confirmed making several 25-car batches of Mark 1 GT estates for the Canadian and South African police. As for my non-police version: "They would over produce in o...

Hello All, Another new member from sunny (today, at least) Detroit. I've fairly recently got into old Fords, after finding a very original '66 Mark 1 estate car. It shares garage space with a number of old Triumphs and Jaguars, plus the most recent acquisition - a '65 GT estate. I'd be curious to he...
