Has anyone done this - specifically mating a 2.0 Zetec to the 2000E 4 speed and what is involved.
A gent is looking to buy my Zetec to stuff into his 1966 Lotus Cortina while he restores the engine but he wants to do a 'bolt in' and not have to move the location of the transmission for obvious ...

Re: Cortina master cylinder swap?
Im looking to replace the BMC on my cortina. Chances of finding an original one are slim so I want to swap it out for one from another car.
The bolt holes are 81mm apart (2 bolt)
Flange diameter is 40mm
Bore is 20.6mm
Wouldnt mind a slight Bias to the rear because of the rear disc brake ...

Who am I kidding - more horses while keeping it driveable ...

1951 Prefect engine 'upgrade'
I'm looking at 'improving' the drivetrain in my Prefect - I want to stay 4 cyl and Ford so it will probably be a pre-crossflow GT or similar or even a Fiesta motor - though I am open to suggestions as long as it is a 4cyl ford drivetrain.
And yes, I will be looking for suggestions on brakes ...

New old guy from Vancouver
New to the forum, just bought a 1951 Ford Prefect and will be poking at it with a blunt instrument over the summer to see if it can be made to go faster, stop better and generally behave properly while still looking like an old car.
