Re: Cortina MK1 Estate

Wow, that just riles me up. I was the 2nd responder to the ad in Phoenix (that’s certainly adding to the red I’m seeing now.) Phoenix seller was polite and courteous, seemed a decent fella, said he had 5 interested parties within 24hrs and was going to go in order. He kindly informed me the next da...

Re: Old poster returning with a 105e Estate

Nice, it needs some work but it looks solid enough, I really like these wagons. I was surprised to read that the wagon variant of the 105e was designed by a Canadian.

Yes that did sell for 12K Did the guy gold plate it or something, how is it possible that the price doubled?

1972 Capri on BAT

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-mercury-capri-6/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2021-01-08 I am not sure what's going on with the wheel/tire combination, it looks mismatched and maybe even unsafe? I have noticed the over stretched tires on other vehicles too, it looks stupid and ...

Re: Ford Cortina '67 GT 5 speed

Yes, that Zetec looks nice but you would have to sort the exhaust and sump to fit a Cortina/Anglia and I wonder what cams it's running? I love the BDA look and it's simplicity, it is a pretty engine for sure. https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10/84/53/16097910.jpg https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10/...

I guess we will see the Lotus come up for sale again and again? The reserve not met, everybody thinks their car is worth a Gillion dollars these days.

Re: Ford Cortina '67 GT 5 speed

I do remember this one being for sale before but do not recall the details, I wonder what it will fetch if it meets reserve? The paint looks too nice to be slogging it around on gravel roads. If it was mine I would loose the driving lights, window and body decals and it would make a nippy driver.

Re: Lotus Cortina MK1 '67

I had this question on the other thread, but it might be better here... Who was it on here who had a Mk2 Lotus for sale a few years back for around $12K. It was not a green and white car but I kick myself every once in a while for not buying it. Prolly as much as the seller does for selling it! Gar...

Re: Lotus Cortina MK1 '67

I wonder if this is the same car that I used to see on Craigslist when I stayed in Palm Springs? I loved going through Craigslist on my vacations there, I would imagine buying something nice down there and driving it back to Canada. If genuine - and it looks it to me - you will have to bring a big ...

I remember that. Very nice indeed. What did it sell for?
Gary in AZ
Can't remember now but it always seems like a lot until you look back and think "I should have bought it".
