Sounds good, would be glad to assist, just let me know.
Thank you, I will have a closer look at all the bits, could be some bushings needed too. I will be in touch.

Re: Mk1 Cortina Lower Ball Joints

Ok so they're 53.40 or 54.60 for the Lotus ones from the club. Nice pictures. I was looking on their website and they do have a lot of good spares to offer, there are a number of things there that I might find myself needing in time. These are the actual NON Lotus kits that I will likely need if I ...

Re: Mk1 Cortina Lower Ball Joints

It is actually the main ball joint at the base of the strut, it is incorporated with the steering arm as in the photos. https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10/84/53/100e_c24.jpg https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10/84/53/100e_c25.jpg The thing with the Mk1 Cortina strut is that it is different from the ...

I have bought stuff from Graeme and Yesterford. Both were good.
Gary in AZ
I do see that they have them, I may just need the kits but I have to disassemble and wash the bits first before I know.

I got mine from MK1 Cortina owners club.
So did you have to join the club or do they sell to anyone? I don't actually have a Mk1 Cortina , just the struts and track arms. I might experiment with them on the front of a 100e Anglia.

Re: Mk1 Cortina Lower Ball Joints

I would always try purchasing in the States first. Ken at Dave Bean or ebay. Yesterford, Au has kits @ $75AU ea. Newfordspares: Ball joint set 204 pds. Graeme at EnFord spares NZ. Prices vary considerably. Thank you. I did a bit of looking on the internet and did see a fair range of prices, I didn'...

Seems like a decent car. Don't know about the color, though.
Gary in AZ
Yes the colour is odd, it reminds me of my 67 Lotus Cortina. Mine was originally born in "Dragoon Red" paint but someone before me decided the orange was nice?Image

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap

I don't know off the top of my head but the cap is definitely longer, a standard reach cap will not seal against the bottom of the well. Maybe you can cross reference this number to something in North America? https://www.smallfordspares.co.uk/products/e0a-8100-a-radiator-pressure-cap Measure yours ...

Amazing job Brett, you should be very proud of yourself. 8)
Thanks, I think the next hurdle will be to find someone local to me that can/will paint the car in a reasonable amount of time.

Looks to be a little rough for a 5 Grand car.
Looks like it says $500 now.
I don't know if I misread it the first time or if he changed it? $500 is in the ball park.

Re: Brett's 100e Anglia

While the Anglia was sitting dormant for almost two years the fuel went off and the crossflow ran quite badly, I did clean out the tank and use fresh fuel but the engine idled poorly. I found the Webers dripped fuel and there was also air leaking in around the throttle shafts as the original leather...

Re: Brett's 100e Anglia

looking good brett,,,I have to ask, regarding the grill, did you remove every other vertical bar? It looks menacing! I like it. How did you mount the front bumper guards? I have been thinking of hangin' something off of those tapped holes in the front frame rails. Yes I did remove every second blad...
