It is unusual to find another 100e for sale in British Columbia but this 1954 Anglia turned up for sale a day ago, I have no previous knowledge of this one but it looks interesting.

Yes, it is kind of a novelty and I know you can easily buy the blank VIN plates, it makes it look a little bit factory.

I found the VIN plate to be interesting on this vehicle, we recently had a small rod show here in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, the Anglia was quite nicely done.

I get it, there is so much made there and I know they can make good quality if needed but there is a lot of sub-standard stuff too, I think I will just use what I have.

Thanks Pete for the offer but I do have a bunch of rods here that I can use, I was just wondering why those aftermarket rods seemed so well priced? There is so much aftermarket, Chinese made stuff out there that might be quite sub-standard or not, that it makes me suspicious of buying anything these ...

I am curious, have many or any of you used connecting rods from this company, are they any good ot just more imported junk?

I bet there is a number of good things to save out of the Elan that will work on the Cortina, the transmission, differential and instruments or a start.

Nice, I try to find car museums whenever we are in the U.K. but I haven't managed to see any European museums just yet.

Nice collection, what year is the Mk2 Lotus? I had an early 1967 Mk2 from 1973 to 1984, it was a great driving vehicle.

Yes, exactly, it is not the same car at all. my old car was red under that orange paint but my old VIN plate is now on a light green, later Cortina.

Looks very sound, do you find yourself overwhelmed with too many vehicles these days? I think that I may have to downsize my 100e collection to create some garage work space and time to devote to my other vehicles, there is one too many cars in there.
