Re: Wanted - 300E Tail light lens screws
Got info from a helpful person on the correct screw type/sizes and bought exactly what I need from a local hardware store. Thanks. On to the next small step in my project.

Wanted - 300E Tail light lens screws
I'm looking for the screws needed to mount the tail light lenses on my 1959 Thames 300E. I see the local hardware place has screws that look to be the correct thread & length, but the heads would be too wide to fit into the recesses in the lenses. I'd prefer to locate some stock ones. Thanks for any...

Why would someone in North America have converted it to RHD? Just curious.

Are you on Facebook? Looks like there are a number of owner groups out there. (Some not very active.)

Re: Radiator Hoses
It is tempting and there are some there that I could use, those New Prefect top hoses would be nice but those do look like old school type hoses and I bet they are as hard as rock? I had to go to an auto parts store and go through their hose catalogue until I found one that I could cut/fit. It is n...

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
Ah, understanding dawns! The concentration of A/F in modern cars is very high: it was 50-50 when I was teaching Motor Vehicle. I wouldn't try that level in a classic, though. So what mixture of antifreeze/water should I be using in my stock radiator/engine? Still 50/50? (My rad is currently getting...

If that's Canadian dollars, that's about $10,600 USD correct?

Thermostat Style
Okay experts. After some effort, I was able to remove my thermostat from my 1959 Thames 300E today. I'm not familiar with this design. I'm assuming it's stock as it looks like the one in the parts book. (Says "AC Made in England" and "176 degrees F" on it.) Looks like Kip Motor Company may sell that...

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
I went ahead and bought the NAPA one. It doesn't look like the original (nor the photo in the NAPA ad, which looks like the original), but it'll work for now. Fits great. Thanks again.

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
Correct cap Stant 10206 7 lbs long neck or NAPA 703-1411. 50's / early 60's EnFos used 4 lbs and 7 lbs long neck caps. 4 lbs caps aren't used anymore. They are available on ebay ~ $10 Great. Looks like that NAPA one is in stock at my local NAPA store up the street. (Says it's manufactured by Stant.)

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
Looks like mine measures 1 1/4" from the top of the cap to the bottom of the rubber seal. But I'm not sure if that's where they measure it from.
I only see Small Ford Spares listed for those numbers, but I'll keep checking around.
Thanks.
