Gas Tank
Was wondering if MKI gas tanks are famous for deteriorating from the inside. My tank is in great condition on the outside but inside its a disaster! Looks like big flakes of goo. The sender is completely ruined.

My brake MC is all but destroyed inside the bore! Took me forever to get the piston out and the bore is all scratched and pitted.

So - cleaned up the points, re-installed them and set the gap. I tested the wire that "comes into" the ballast resistor and got 12volts. I bypassed the resistor however and ran it to "-" side of coil. (The resistor is way beyond corroded). When I opened the points I got a decent spark. I the. Put ...
