Would there be any other senders from another car that might work?

Thanks - the tank has some kind of "mushy" lining inside that crumbles. The sender looks like it was on the bottom of the ocean... Its like a chewy rust....

Gas Tank

Was wondering if MKI gas tanks are famous for deteriorating from the inside. My tank is in great condition on the outside but inside its a disaster! Looks like big flakes of goo. The sender is completely ruined.

Which one?

The girling style seems like a match but I worry about volume limitations of it for brakes.....

Brake MC

My brake MC is all but destroyed inside the bore! Took me forever to get the piston out and the bore is all scratched and pitted. Is there a brake MC from another car I could use? MG,Triumph,...? I did find an MC from England listed as a big bore vs. 5/8" standard bore. Pit has a plastic res. W...

Cool - thanks!

I thought maybe MKI's had external resistors - the '67 Wagon I have had one on the firewall and the '66 GT has one as well.

Could I just run a Bosch Blue coil I wonder?

Thanks again!

So - cleaned up the points, re-installed them and set the gap. I tested the wire that "comes into" the ballast resistor and got 12volts. I bypassed the resistor however and ran it to "-" side of coil. (The resistor is way beyond corroded). When I opened the points I got a decent ...

No fire!

So my first "help" post for my '66 MKI Cortina GT.... New wires, new cap, points, plugs and new coil and what looks to be a new condenser. I hook her all up and I get nothing out of the coil. It's positive ground and I have the "+" side of the coil going to the points. I have wha...
