Hello

New member here. I don't currently have any classic cars but am active in automotive history research. Since Ford data is more readily available than others, I've accrued quite a lot; particularly data on production, sales, deliveries, etc. from the 1940s the world over.

Here in the states it would probably be called a 1958-model car. In Germany at that time, though, makes were still usually registered by calendar year. Often data plates will have "Baujahr" (calendar year of manufacture) stamped on them. This may or may not coincide with how they were regi...
