Looks like you bought it from Bob in Berkley, how did that go? I was trying to buy one of his Mk1's a few years back but couldn't muster the money he wanted for it, though in the pictures it looked nice (the white GT)

Good luck with the Project! Any plans for it?

Updates to build

Check out the blog to see a lot of updates to the car. Hoping to have the Duratec engine and Mazda 6-speed installed in the car by the end of February (though not wired up and plumbed) http://mk1cortinasearch.blogspot.com/#!/2012/01/gt-inspiration.html http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JPbFSihtLZw/TwPWsFAF1...

Bummer, went to buy these........went to go select the shipping and BAM, lowest cost to ship.......$45! These ship from England, bummer. So, still looking for a US source so I don't pay $45 to ship a few little rubber parts! Costs end up being silly that way....come on, someone has to have a secret ...

US source for suspension bushings, Cortina mk1

I am rebuilding the suspension on my Cortina mk1 and am trying to track down reasonably priced suspension bushings in the US, especially for the steering linkages.

Anyone have any suggestions. I am hoping to do one stop shopping and get it all at one place...

Thanks,

Bryan

Sweet, exactly what I was looking for, Timken numbers.

I could just see myself walking in to my local Napa in Snohomish (Big Trucks and 'merican cars) and looking at me like an idiot asking for "English Ford Parts"

Thanks,

Any help woul...

Fiesta at Arlington Pick a part yard

There is a Mk1 Fiesta at the Arlington Wa. Pick a part yard. I was surprised to see it. Looks pretty decent, doesn't look very rusty or beat up. Good glass etc. It's painting with spray paint or something, black a white pattern design.

Steve,

Yes, my plan is to use Wilwood Calipers, the rotors were the hard part to find cheaply.

Well, I was slow at work yesterday and ended up finally finding an affordable set of rotors in Australia, check them out here: http://www.smckaperformance.com.au/catalog/index.php/cPath/21/sort/2a/page/3 They are $50 a rotor, hopefully shipping wouldn't be TOO much (less than from UK at least).
