thanks guys, if I can find a really nice mk1 two door shell I might tackle it,
I was looking in the trunk and as well as a selection of ciebie driving lights I found quite a few original Ford service manuals for the lotus cortina, turns out it was one of the last mk1 lotus cortinas sold in Canada ...

I have a mk2 escort 1976, I live in Canada and have never seen
another on the roads, a great car in the snow, lots of fun but washing
it before you put it back away is a must, but hey they are meant to be driven

Hi all, great to find others with the same passion
I live in Ontario Canada and I have a love for old fords.
I own a 1976 ford escort and it has been a long term project.
I also own a 1966 lotus cortina which I bought of the original owner it
is in pretty rough shape but totally complete( I might get to it one day)
