Re: Weber DCD

Strange, two different carbs and the same problem. Are you using the 1/4 inch thick heat isolator under your carb? How is your fuel pressure, is it regulated to 3 to 4 Psi? If you do have it regulated I hope it is not a Mr. Gasket regulator as I have been reading that they are crap. Where do you ac...

Re: Weber DCD

The 32/36 might be an easy fix, have you checked to see if the fuel shut off valve is seating 100% and the float level is correct as well as the float itself not being fuel saturated? The valve might be leaking a bit, allowing residual fuel pressure bleed into the carb after shutdown?  I see Amazon...

Yah I got the DCOEs, thinking I want to keep the manifold I have so I can run the vacuum for the PCV, just been having issues with cold/hot starts with the 32/36. It floods the intake when I turn it off.. just been a PITA.. D...

Re: Tie rod rebuild kit

I think I used ParcelHero or Parcel2go last time I shipped a Cortina 4 branch back to the UK. It was £45 I think for 7 day shipping but I wanted the 3 day to expediate it.. £60

Re: 3.54 Cwp

Langlia...I looked at IWE website and it looks like they are the experts. I had previously set mine up (myself) with new ring gear bearings....betting I could get by using the existing pinion bearings. Unfortunately, the pinion bearings were bad too. I was a little intimidated pressing on and off t...

Re: 3.54 Cwp

I sent an email to IWE to see if they stock the 3.54 by any chance and the labour cost involved. Hopefully hear back next week. Any chance you can swap the 1.0 4th gear out for an overdrive ratio instead? In a couple years the Anglia will get gutted I imagine and Zetec/Duratec swapped with a 5 speed...

Anyone have one laying around for an English axle? Good condition?
Have you tried Ian Wood at IWE?
I have not but I did think about taking it there to have it swapped. Maybe I should call him and find out..

Tie rod rebuild kit

Is there such thing as a rebuild kit for the tie rod ends?

I notice new ones are quite expensive. Or is there something aftermarket for the Anglia? No need to regrease.

Thanks!

If you want to get the RPMs down here is a 3.31, they have many different ratios. I'll be getting one of these when I'm ready to do my axle. https://www.retroford.co.uk/product/3-31-english-crown-wheel-and-pinion-cwp-3-3/ Haven't heard of MLR. Retro ford has a great reputation so if you want to be c...
