Great info; thanks for posting.
Still curious about the interior and suspension of US cars built after 12/67 but before the big changes in 10/68 for the ‘69 MY. Did they have the high dash with aux gauges and the trailing arms?
What book is it from?

Re: 1968 Lotus Cortina on BAT
So if a MkII GT was built in ‘68 for the ‘68 MY it wouldn’t have the high top dash? This confuses me b/c I thought it wasn’t until the fall of’68 (model year ‘69) that the MkIIs got the revised interior with the gauges lower in the dash, the console that came all the way to the bottom of the dash, a...

Re: 1968 Lotus Cortina on BAT
That may have been Steve Patti, Boerne, Tx. Don't know if he ever sold his '67 LC. Wasn’t he selling his last year on Ebay? Wanted something like $40-50k iirc. Curious to see what this goes for ... On the model year - didn’t this dash with the raised gauge pod last until fall ‘68 when they put the ...

The new owner just posted on the Lotus Cortina list-serve.
He said the guy who bought it on BAT found another car he wanted more.
Wonder if the new owner paid $2k more than the BAT price?

Re: 1970 Ford Cortina $6,500
Looks like it's in good condition, though more pictures would be nice.
Is this a fair price as Gary says? I've been following the Mk II market for a few years now and still don't have a good sense of the market.

It’s a nice car, but adding the 1600E’s wooden dash to a rare raised dash ‘67 is an abomination, imho.

New member from Long Beach
Greetings! I am a new member. I live in Long Beach, CA, and am interested in getting a MkII Cortina. I'd be interested to know if there are any for sale in Los Angeles (or elsewhere in CA). I'd also like to know if there are any owners near me who'd let me look at their cars, and maybe go for a driv...
