sounds like you gave it bit more castor! did you use the silent bloc top mounts from a late mk2 or the bearing type? i dont have my mk1 any more but im sure ill get another one. i found using early-mid 80's volvo strut inserts and mounts to be simple enough. parts are better than the old ford stuff ...

All the parts are readily available in the uk for cheap. Its strange to me that they adopted the pinto name when the engines were more of a euro ford engine than a pinto engine. I mean we only had it for 3 years they had it for like 20. And yes it is a bummer that the cam comes out that way.at least...

it is actually very easy to mate merkur gearbox to both a kent and 2.0ohc pinto engine. i have done it this way successfully twice. i mean successfully as in i drove my car across the country from az to nc twice with no issues. as previously mentioned the top two bolts dont line up. doesnt matter ju...
