Re: Oil catch cans?
Thanks for the responses so far. I did purchase a universal catch can from Moroso https://www.moroso.com/breather-tank85465/ and thought about running mine the same way you did? Heard I need to install the can so that the top line runs up to the can from the valve cover? My pre-xflow has the same mo...

Oil catch cans?
Looking for opinions on using an oil catch can? Recently I put a new rocker cover on my Cortina (with Kent 1500 pre-xflow) not knowing the old one had a vented filler cap, rookie move I know. Took it for a drive, got home and had oil all over one side of the engine, assuming it came through the dips...

USB chargers?
Has anyone added a USB charging receptacle to a classic car before? If so, how was the installation, how is it working and any recommendations?

Hey, Kiwi Cortina. The dark red MK2 with patina, did you happen to pick that up in western Colorado? It looks familiar.

Re: EFI on Kent pre Crossflow?
A quick update. I installed the new jets on the DCD and have it tuned well enough to drive it now. Now I have more time to think about best options moving forward, fingers crossed!

Re: EFI on Kent pre Crossflow?
We’ll that’s part of the problem, I have only had this car for just over a year and have no idea what’s been done to it in the past? I do have a hand written note in a manual that came with it saying it had been ported to a 1700cc but no mention of other modifications. I did do some research into th...

EFI on Kent pre Crossflow?
I have a brand new set of Weber 40 DCOE carbs I was planning to install on my MK2 Cortina GT which has a Kent pre Crossflow engine but I’m now wondering if trying to upgrade to an EFI system might be a better choice instead. The car currently has a single Weber DCD carb so a single unit would be ok ...

They specialize in Lotus parts to include Lotus Cortina’s but they have also been helpful with some general Cortina parts too. Unfortunately their website is woefully outdated but call them and ask for Ken and he’ll hook you up. Located in California, but don’t hold that against them. [http://davebe...

Re: Greetings from new Cortina owner in Colorado.
Yes, it is the Alpine Green one that was sold on BAT in March then sold to me in June via Craigslist. Here’s the link to the BAT auction. [https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1967-ford-cortina-7/]

Greetings from new Cortina owner in Colorado.
Though not new to British cars, I finally found my dream car this summer, a MK2 Cortina! I was first drawn to British cars as a young boy in Omaha driving to my grandmothers houses and regularly seeing a Lotus Europa JPS in one neighborhood and a Triumph TR3 in the other. Then one day in 1969 my par...
