Brent,
I still make simple and obvious mistakes, so here it goes. You mentioned that the ign wires were replaced. Are they in the right firing order CCW rotation.
Does it spit out the carb when turning over.

Re: Mk1 Column Shift
Brent, Earlier models, like my Zephyr, has grease fittings and ( remove cover to oil ). Manual says to use motor oil on any moving parts. I would also lube the shifting lever mechanism with grease.

Re: 2022 Clovis British car show
Sounds good, Ray. They will probably put our cars together in the British specialty saloon class. Unless two more Vauxhalls or EnFos show up forming a class of our own.

Re: 2022 Clovis British car show
I will. I've been going to this show off and on thru-out the years usually with an Anglia 124E. Last year my Anglia was the only EnFo entered. This year i'll drive the Zephyr as it's a 3 hr trip from San Mateo. Which will be easier on the ear drums. Just wanted to, at least, give a heads up to some ...

Brent, have the rocker arms been adjusted. Maybe that the ex valves receded a bit if no hardened seats installed.

Re: Oil Filter #
Hi Brent,
Early 1200cc engines may have a 3.5" cartridge. Later models all had the 5" cartridges. 3.5" and 5" canisters fit on the same oil pump. I have a few 5" filters and canisters if still looking.

Re: Brett's Stock Anglia 100e
70K is quit high for a 100E engine. Usually by 50K a rebuilt is needed about half the life of a 105E engine. Small dia pistons and long stroke cuts the lifespan a bit. We owned a couple of these, Anglia and Escort. Very reliable. Never overheated.

That happens when the ring has too much play in the groove. Noticed, Brett, that the second groove has a ring spacer.

Re: New UK member
It may be that the MK2 weren't officially imported with disc brakes, even as late as '62, to N. America. However, it is possible that some models did have discs by way of purchasing later rebuilt struts including discs from i.e NewFord parts and attaching available Girling P14 or P16 calipers. We we...
