Jan is mentioned in some topics in this forum and also some pics of his cars are shown .
He was more into the German line of Fords and i don't think he owned any English Ford .
He was a truly Ford collector and co founder of the Taunus M club in the Netherlands .

The 4.56 ratio made me think also that it might be something else . Altough there are many more ratio's available for this axle i would not think anything higher as 4.1 would end up in a normal way in USA .
We realy need more info to answer the question .

All the rearaxles of these Cortina's, Escorts and Capri's are easy to narow down , take of the wheelbearingholder narow the pipe down as requierd and weld the wheelbearingholder back in place , shaft resplined , fit leafspring brackets on right with and job done . Are you shure about the 4.56 : 1 ratio ?
Which type of Capri rearaxle is it ? Does it have a bolted cover at the back of the diff or can you take out the diff complete at the front ?

The 105E rearaxle could be fitted with an Escort MK1 and 2 RS2000 or Escort MK2 1600 Sport diff which would give 3.54 ratio . The diff fits in the axle without modification . To find this in USA is an other story . Many Escort racers fit a Capri MK1 "atlas" axle which can be narowed and th...

The Hyundai Pony was sold here in Holland also , they where terible rustbuckets ! They where low priced when new and worthless after a few years .... I Always thought it was a Hyundai body , front and rear suspention Escort MK2 , Escort MK2 rimms and a Mazda engine . ( The engine i am not 100% shure...
