Adding a sway bar

My Mk3 Cortina really dives into corners and when heavy on brakes. And while I do like the comfortable ride, Its chewing up my (maybe) too wide tires. Id like to add a sway bar, And Im sure I can do it, but Im just not sure what donor vehicle I can snag one from? Or does it really matter as long as ...

I always had a feeling the 13 inch tires would be heading out, which is why my Mk3 has 16 inch rims/tires :D

As for the age, its illegal to have tires more than 6 years old (atleast in BC)

Well my green Mk3 has been off the road since (I believe) 1989 but shes been parked in Langley since then.
Hopefully It will be sporting its beautiful Evergreen Metallic soon enough and on the road

Strange Idle problem

My Cortina Mk3 2000 will idle at about 800 rpm, choke off, fully warmed up, and it will be real lumpy. If I hit the brake, the idle will smooth out and the rpm will rise to about 1200 rpm. It does this when cold too with the choke off. I know the booster is functioning. Could it be a vacuum leak bet...

Looks solid, but be sure to check the inner fenders around the strut mount, they are notorious for rotting

Well look at that. There may be a future for funny Brit cars after all. And it's in the frozen North. I know a lot of Brits emigrated to Canada, were either of you influenced by parents/grandparents auto choices? Gary Kinda sorta... My grandparents came over in 1967, my dad was the first born Canad...

Sometimes spark plugs, even new ones, wont spark when its under compression. If you introduce fuel directly into the cumbustion chamber via the sparkplug hole and it wont even cough, it could bve that

Bit of a teaser...
I body worked and epoxy sealer primed the trunk, its kinda hard to see but one of the lines is mishapen from the filler, sticks out like a sore thumb to me! :lol:

Spotted Mk2 Cortina GT, Anyone on here?

Was driving on the freeway last friday, just before the 232nd street exit in Langley, and we passed this nice looking Mk2 Cortina GT http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/zecortinachild/707cb401.jpg A bit difficult to get a nice picture through the windsheild of the Jag, but I did alright I guess...
