Thermostat Style
Okay experts. After some effort, I was able to remove my thermostat from my 1959 Thames 300E today. I'm not familiar with this design. I'm assuming it's stock as it looks like the one in the parts book. (Says "AC Made in England" and "176 degrees F" on it.) Looks like Kip Motor C...

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
I went ahead and bought the NAPA one. It doesn't look like the original (nor the photo in the NAPA ad, which looks like the original), but it'll work for now. Fits great. Thanks again.

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
Correct cap Stant 10206 7 lbs long neck or NAPA 703-1411. 50's / early 60's EnFos used 4 lbs and 7 lbs long neck caps. 4 lbs caps aren't used anymore. They are available on ebay ~ $10 Great. Looks like that NAPA one is in stock at my local NAPA store up the street. (Says it's manufactured by Stant.)

Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap
Looks like mine measures 1 1/4" from the top of the cap to the bottom of the rubber seal. But I'm not sure if that's where they measure it from.
I only see Small Ford Spares listed for those numbers, but I'll keep checking around.
Thanks.

Correct Stock Radiator Cap
Can anyone tell me the proper radiator cap to use on a stock 100E/300E radiator and where I might be able to get one in North America? I see references to a "long reach" type cap, so I assume a typical modern cap won't work. Mine has a very worn lower (rubber) seal and a cracked upper (met...

100E/300E Radiator Top Hose
Hey, I see radiator top hose on ebay (Pete) that looks like it connects directly to the cylinder head. My 300E head has a connector attached to it (onto which the hose attaches). My parts books shows that connnector (8250) also. Does anyone know what the deal is with the differences? (I tried sendin...

To insert a photo in your post from a website/image-storage-site, click on the icon that looks like a photo and then insert the location of your photo between the two image commands.
Or are you talking about copying & pasting a photo somehow?

Re: 2020 FORUM CHANGES!!!!
I don't know this from experience but a friend of mine was talking about ad blockers, he went on to say that some websites would not let him in while he was running it. I guess some websites depend on the sponsorship so it is a pill you have to swallow sometimes. That's true. When I get a message s...

Not sure if I'm allowed to encourage this, but AdBlock Plus is a good ad-blocker that can be downloaded for free.Kiwi Cortina wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:46 am How do I stop seeing all the advertising? Its making it hard to read the site.

Is there a way to identify new posts since I last accessed the forum? The old forum had that option. Thanks.
