Re: Correct Stock Radiator Cap

Correct cap Stant 10206 7 lbs long neck or NAPA 703-1411.

50's / early 60's EnFos used 4 lbs and 7 lbs long neck caps. 4 lbs caps aren't used anymore.

They are available on ebay ~ $10

Re: 100E/300E Radiator Top Hose

Another way would be to make a 1/4" thick flange, similar to a muffler flange, p/n: 100E-8250. You won't need E13-MB-1. No cutting necessary.
Problem with later cast iron housing flanges they can corrode over time causing leaks.

Hi Fred,

Brett answered your question.

Reason i didn't receive your pm is that my pm folder was full. It only allows 50 saved messages so i deleted most of it.

Re: Anglia 105E front seats

Jim is correct on that.

They should be grade 5 ( medium carbon steel ) 1" long 7/16" x 1/4" x 20 and have a guided end.
I have a set of 8 if needed. Now that they changed the forum. I don't know how to add photos.

Re: Tie rod rebuild kit

Same seller has more items listed for $ 500 economy shipping. He either mistakenly misplaced the decimal point or willingly sucker punch a buyer.

Re: Tie rod rebuild kit

They are available on ebay in the States. Put in English Ford or Ford Anglia tie-rod ends. 100E & 105E are the same.

Hi Brett,

I'm using Magnegor low resistance ignition wires, with a red rotor, which is apparently ok to use.
I think the company seller sold me a unit that was bad off the shelf.

So, Ian ( Pertronix ) contacted me this morning and will send me a new module.

Hi Brent, Pertronix is installed on the Zephyr for a few years now with no problem. The Anglia has the Accuspark ign. no problem either. I was running the Cortina with points and decided to install a Pertronix unit when this problem occurred. Just wondering if anyone else came across a new unit that...

Pertronix

Has anyone had trouble with the Pertronix Ignitor 2 electronic ignition ? I bought a negative ground LU-142A unit, on ebay, for my Lucas distributor using the correct Pertronix 3,0 coil. Apparently dead on arrival. Seller told me to contact Pertronix which I did. So I emailed my concern to a rep ( I...

So today torqued the lug nuts to 50 lbs. EnFo 5" crank wrench barely loosened the nut had to press my foot to aid loosening a couple. Had enough strength to loosen with the EnFo 8" wrench. No way anyone would be able to loosen the lug nuts if torqued > 60 lbs and then loosen the nuts with ...

Thanks, Gary. Never knew the correct torque after all these years. Just assumed tight was as far as the nut will tighten by using the stock EnFo
wrench. I'll pass this info to the tire shop. Pete

That's what the tire shop wants to torque it down to but the small 8" lug nut wrench that comes with the car would almost be useless. I suggested to him that 45 lbs would be sufficient.

Strange, I can not find any information in any repair books regarding the lug nut torque specs for a Cortina MK1/2 or 105E. It just mentions tighten the lug nuts. Would anybody know the torque specs.
