Re: 3.54 vs 3.89

Langlia....did you ever try the 3.9 ? which engine do you have? if I am correct, the british sterling is more favorable to the US dollar now, might be a good time to buy from England? Which supplier in England does not sell to the USA (litigation reasons) ? Yes, it's a great time for you to buy wit...

It is interesting to see the exterior crank handle on the back of the wagon, does that actually lower the window on the tailgate from the outside? You have a nice collection of cars there.

Re: Is Everyone on Vacation?

It has been hot too here in B.C. but I don't mind the heat, I have the ocean practically at my front door and the daily swimming has been great with the water temperatures ranging from 69 to 72 Degrees F.

Re: Is Everyone on Vacation?

It's been quiet here lately - where is everyone? I got out of the hospital after spending eight days there due to surgery for a serious infection on my right hand, and will probably be off work for about three months,& can't do a whole lot for now. It'd be nice to hear from you guys. Yes it has...

Hi Dave, I am sorry to hear that you have to sell your Anglia. I would jump on your car myself if I didn't have my hands full of 100e obligations. I took the time to put some of your car photos together with some of the details in the "for sale" section, you can go there and add as much de...

Wow! It is amazing how the value of things goes up when they are associated with a famous name, here is one example. A bike that would not normally carry a lot of value.

Re: Oil catch cans?

I don't know if the block mounted pump would be in the way, I never tried it that way. This is a version of the breather I used, mine is a different size being a 711M block but this is the pre-crossflow version. https://www.burtonpower.com/breather-elbow-sohc-pinto-681f-x-flow-pre-x-flow-20mm-fp280....

Re: Oil catch cans?

Kent engines can have a lot of blow-by especially when running in a new engine as well as when they are old/tired. If there is a lot of pressure it will find its way out the dipstick and if it is too much you can end up with front and rear crank seal leaks. When I put my crossflow in my 100e Anglia ...

Re: USB chargers?

Most Cortinas had a cigarette lighter in the dash so you could use that? If your Cortina is Positive ground you could do a simple swap to Negative earth and just plug in one of these devices. I put one in my old Mazda truck years ago and it still works fine, it has the added benefit of letting me se...

Re: A Tale Of Two Cortinas

Good story, one day I will put together a bit on how I came to own my Lotus Cortina but it's not a very exciting read. It is one of those being in the right place at the right time story.

Re: Van Dusen Garden's ABFM 2022

Thanks for the great photos Brett. It was really nice to be there after a twelve year absence. I enjoyed reconnecting with you and Cliff and Les and David. It was hard to get good photos though, both because of the high contrast lighting and the crowds. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/520957361...
