Here's a link to a company in New Zealand that lists the front and rear window rubbers/gaskets for your Zodiac: http://www.restospares.co.nz/zephyr_zodiac.htm I think there is a company here in the UK that may do them but I have heard that sometimes their quality is not the best. The Zephyrs and Zod...

That's a very solid and straight Zodiac you have there. I spoke to Kevin at Zodiac Motor Services here in the UK and he does have a LHD trans. His email is zms@btinternet.com The reason for the green interior may be that the car was originally all black and the red was added later. Just a thought. I...

It's definitely a Rootes Group engine as fitted to models of Hillman/Singer/Sunbeam/Humber.

It was a good day out indeed. Kevin's yellow and white Zephyr is for sale as Gary says, it has a Raymond Mays head, triple SU carbs, hot cam etc with a floor shift 4-speed with overdrive. It sounds really nice and goes pretty well too. Incidentally that is the right rear quarter of my Anglia in the ...

I'm pretty sure it's not an English Ford engine. It does look like a Rootes Group engine as fitted to Hillman Minxes, Singer Gazelles/Vogues & Sunbeam Rapiers/Alpines. I've never seen a Ford engine with a left side starter nor an oil filter like that either.

You're certainly finding them Reggie! Looks really solid especially for a Michigan car. The white Anglia is lovely. What are your friend's plans for his Anglia?

Nice photos, I'm guessing that was the Autorama show? I went to Faversham in my 59 Impala for a 'Help for Heroes' show but this Sunday I'm hoping to take my Anglia to the Battlesbridge Ford show. It's a rare outing for it!

Welcome to the forum. I do remember that 1600Es used to be stolen here in the UK and always lost their wheels!

Hi Gary, Yep that's the one in the December 1988 issue of Motor Sport. I've been down the workshop today as he was fixing the dash lights on my 59 Impala and gave him the copy of the mag. He did mention that he may send it to you so I've dropped him in it now, lol. I'm sure he'll do that and I'll me...

And I just found an ad for your Zephyr in a 1988 copy of Motor Sport magazine Gary. At a dealers for £6,950 back then. And hopefully I will be going to Battlesbridge in the Anglia assuming the seats have been done by then.

Vantastic!

Here's a link to a Ford Heritage film on Youtube extolling the virtues of the Thames 400E or Freighter as I believe it was called overseas. It's pretty corny but fun to watch.

I remember my first Anglia with affection to this day, the poor little thing. I abused it, it got stolen and used for parts for another Anglia, I got it back and went around the junkyards putting it back together again. My parents were concerned abut it and made me buy a 68 Cortina in 1973 as they t...

Welcome to the forum from someone in the UK where your little Anglia was made. I also started driving in 1972 and bought a 62 Anglia Deluxe for £90 and it served me well. Took all the abuse a 17yo kid could throw at it, lol. Alas it was rusty and after I had sold it to a friend it went to meet its m...
