Re: Nice Escort MK1 estate in Cali

I love Mk1 Escorts and that one would make a great little runabout, I find the body lines on the rear to be a little unappealing but it is in nice shape. The wagon I would really like to find is the 105e. https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10/84/53/escort10.png https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10/84/5...

Re: need 1960 Consul bumpers and brackets

It is unfortunate that I am not up in the forest near my place at the moment, this Consul is still rotting away up there and it might have yielded some bumper brackets that could be straightened out? The first photo is from 2008, sorry that it's upside-down, the second from 2021. I know that these E...

Re: Anglia

Welcome to the Forum, I am sorry to say that I can't find any history on the dealer other than a lot of newspaper adverts, here are a few of them. I too am a fan of the Anglia and Prefect and have owned a variety of them over the past 25 years, here are the three that I currently have, one is hiding...

Re: Ford SideValve Owners Club Information Correction

I think I might know who you are but a real name would go a long way for the benefit of all the members here. I am glad to hear that the club will now export, I used to get quite upset years ago when they advertised that they export and then flatly refused to send it to me in Canada.

Re: Ford Cortina MK2 Auto - Potential project or parts only?

The earliest Mk2 Cortina's still had 1500 non-crossflow engines but they also had the later 6 bolt, lip seal crank. If you are lucky, that block could be the coveted L block that will take a good overbore to bring the displacement up and still be a rev-happy motor. I don't recall the details offhand...

Re: CL-Ford Cortina Lotus Bumpers - $250 (CA)

I bought a nice stainless steel set of bumperettes years ago for my 100e as well as a stock set of Mk1 Escort bumpers, the trouble is that it's difficult to get the mounting brackets just right.

Re: 302 Powered Mk2 Cortina BAT

That video does hint at the potential of the Cortina and I am convinced that it is quick without seeing it at full tilt, I just noticed in one of the photos that the driveshaft is somehow rubbing against what looks like a seatbelt bolt, that must make some noise?? https://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/17/10...
