Aston Martin Tickford Ford Capri

Here is another rare Ford Capri, that many may not know: the Tickford Ford Capri. Built by hand, at the manufacture Aston Martin Tickford, at Newport Pagnell, Great Britain.
One hundred 2.8i Capris were bought by Aston Martin, but only 85 of them were claimed to have been re-sold converted to full Tickford Turbos, fifteen cars were sold on after production had ended as standard 2.8 Capri Injection Specials.
Many say, that the Tickford is the ultimate Capri. In any case, it is the most luxurious and one of the most expensive Capri.
The engine is a 2.8i from Ford but equipped with an IHI turbocharger. 205 hp bring the car up to nearly 140 mph.

In the mid-1980s, time was slowly coming to an end for the Ford Capri. That concerned the rare Tickford Capri and also the last regular special model, the Ford Capri model 280 (only in the color Brookland Green available). The latter could only be sold at a hefty discount. Today, everything is different again! Capri RS models, the Capri Brookland and of course the Tickford, are so sought after and expensive as never before.
