From the Ford Australia website, here is a look at the Euro-Ford on offer Down Under. Notice the prices. I believe the AU$ is worth about $.75 US. I also notice the "XR4" model in the Fiesta line and the "XR5" modesl in the Focus & Mondeo line. Ford doesn't use the XR badge in Europe anymore. But Ford Australia has been building a XR6 & XR8 in the Falcon range since the mid-90s.
