108E on e-bay

Post by JAN »

Copied over from the 'For Sale' section:

Thanks, Michael, for pointing this out! No, I tend not to look at the For Sale section - I'm sure you can see why! I've sent this to the Editor of Sidevalve News, and will put something on the enfostuff site about it.

Hi Ben,

One of the rarest of 'sidevalves' is the 108E, the LHD version of the 107E Prefect, complete with overhead valve engine, etc.

The following has appeared on e-bay: bay.
bay.

I've had a quick look at the photos (no, I'm not putting a bid in!) and it looks basically quite sound, if a little messed about with. The door cards and seats are a different specification than those sold at home, and the carpet - a very scarce item - is missing. There are some mechnical modifications, but the odd parts are the black interior paintwork with beige outer: a respray at some time. Even more is the IRL (Ireland) plate on the rear of a LHD car.

Thanks again,
