New Member in Oregon!

Post by Joe O'dMoors »

Greetings all,
I'm from the Portland Oregon area and have loved Euro/British Fords ever since I was a kiddo.
I've had a Mk2 Escort for quite a few years, but only just found this forum. It looks like it's a little slow here, but i'll post up a project thread on my car anyway!
Have a great weekend.

I quite lie the Escorts, I tried to buy a Mk1 twin cam once back in the day but let it slip away. You should post some photos.

Welcome, we had one LHD Escort MK2 2.0L that showed up at the Blackhawk British car meet in Danville, Ca., 2 weeks ago.

Thanks all!
There's a modest number of Escorts in the states. There's 6 or so in the PNW and another incoming.., and a couple in California that I know of, including a nice Orange Mk2 in the Bay Area.
Here's a current pic of it. It's gone through some changes over the years.
I'll be posting up a project thread on this, as it's never done!

Hi Joe,

Welcome. I'm glad that you were able to get signed in. Did your RS 2000 come originally with the longer snout?

Thank you!!
It was originally an RS Mexico, and later converted to RS2000 spec...so it's always had the flat front.
I'd love to get a proper, stock RS2000 some day with the original front end.

Yes! Thank you!
Mr. Wallace has the only correct RS2000 that I know of in the states.
A fortunate gent indeed.

So, somehow when I had to get my password reset, I ended up getting signed up with a different user name! So, same guy...different name.

Weird! But I'm glad that you made it back in. Others are having a similar problem.
